Private Mansion, Qingdao

The project is situated adjacent to Shaohai Wetland Park, known as “the lung of Jiaozhou,” to the south. Drawing on Song Dynasty aesthetics, it crafts a private sanctuary within the bustling city, evoking the essence of the Eastern lifestyle through a sense of ritual and tradition.The design empowers daily living though a scene-based approach. The expansive, horizontally oriented living room caters to the needs for family interactions. A large viewing balcony links the interior to the seasonal landscapes, using natural materials to evoke a simple and rustic texture. Here, residents can quietly immerse themselves in the ever-changing beauty of nature.
