Changzhou Qifengshan Guiyiyuan

Borrowing the traditional Chinese gardening method of "building mountains, managing water and stacking stones", and carrying out modern deduction, the terrain is platform treated. The overall layout of the whole park is in the form of a butterfly waving its wings. The two wings are used as walkways, and the landscape central axis is set between the two wings. Combined with the corrugated curve, the landscape of boats and the core mirror waterscape are created. The layout also implies the life philosophy of "recalling this life, the butterfly is born in the afterlife". Connect the current 3-meter road to the mountain and return near the tail end to ensure the integrity of the park and make the butterfly more fuller. Besides, several landscape nodes are designed on the wings of the butterfly to decorate the park.
The entrance is the "boat of this life". When people travel inside, they will see the "boat of the afterlife". Two boats are in parallel. The "water ripple" formed by the ferry of these two reincarnation boats form the overall layout of the park.
The design breaks the gloomy and depressing sequence of the traditional cemetery and divides the space through the garden groups. Block greening is reserved between each garden, and multi-color leaf trees are planted, such as beech, red maple, begonia, etc. the foreground of tombstone adopts the greening scenery of sand and stone combined with colorful flowers, so as to gradually eliminate people's bleak impression of the traditional cemetery.
The green island enclosed by the footpath is used as a garden-style cemetery for the follow-up construction, which adopts streamlined arrangement. The landscape style of the park is fresh and bright, changing the solemn style of the traditional cemetery, and making use of the smooth point-line-surface landscape design to create a good and comfortable memorial and sweeping experience.
The four theme nodes of chasing butterflies, rememberance, glimpsing and mountains build poetry with oriental aesthetics. Concurrently, the significance of axis as a public space lies in the gravitational field where various memorial activities take place.
