Forest Park Community Clubhouse

Located in the province of Henan,China, this community clubhouse reinterprets the community amenity as an emotional threshold between the city and home. The concept begins with the idea of a forest island, a place where water, stone, light and garden views soften the experience of arrival. Instead of an enclosed support space, the design builds a gradual journey through reception, lounge, water corridor, private dining, leisure rooms, pool and homecoming lobby. Grey stone, warm timber, reflective water and restrained lighting create a quiet spatial rhythm, while local references to weaving, clay, paper cutting and bamboo craft connect the interior to Henan’s cultural memory. A dreamlike water passage, anchored by the sculpture "Lucid Dream", turns circulation into a moment of pause. The clubhouse supports gathering, dining, wellness and private entertainment, but its deeper purpose is to give residents a place to slow down before returning to daily life.
