ChenLu Aesthetics Demonstration Area

The Chenlu Aesthetics Demonstration Area is located in the Lincheng New District of Zhoushan City, adjacent to the urban road on the west, and facing the urban mountain park on the south. Visitors are required to tour the mountain park before arriving at the demonstration area. The demonstration area, integrated with the park, can accommodate a variety of activities and continuously create value for the owners' lives.
The demonstration area envisions a landscape Confucian courtyard and a refined scholar's life, combining modern aesthetic interests to create an elegant lifestyle.
The demonstration area consists of five modern Song-style buildings that incorporate modern materials while exuding an ancient charm. The buildings emphasize horizontal lines in their form and feature exquisite details. One can faintly discern features characteristic of Song Dynasty architecture in the details, such as pendants, lattice windows, interwoven structures, and hip-and-gable roofs. Spatially, the area combines the multi-progressive courtyard layout found in traditional classical gardens, with buildings and pergolas as the main body, and integrates rocks, water features, pavilions, and corridors to create an exquisite courtyard-style garden space.
The main entrance features a double-slope curved roof with a width of seven bays, majestic and grand. From the main gate, one follows the veranda to the reception hall, then proceeds to the sand table display area and the negotiation area. Each functional area is housed in a separate small building, The structure that stands elevated and encircled is the private banquet hall. The ensemble of buildings creates an interesting and spatially rich architectural cluster.
As one strolls through the garden, revealing the diverse courtyard spaces gradually to the visitors. The design, inspired by the love for mountains and waters, and the elegant and expressive temperament, distills scenes of refined gatherings such as "viewing the mountains," "listening to the springs," "among the pines," "searching for shadows," "finding paths," "inquiring about tea," and "playing chess," as if there's a collision between ancient and modern times. Architecture, pavilions, pergolas, rocks, flora, and water features are exquisitely coordinated in this confined space, with each flower and stone reflecting the ingenuity and spirit of garden craftsmanship.
