Grand Refinement

This project titled “Grand Refinement” elaborates that constant pondering accomplishes a commodious and chic residence for retirement living. We planned the public area included the family rest zone and gathering space on the 1st floor, and the 2nd floor dedicates to a private area where the residents’ rooms locate. To take functions and privacy into consideration, the separate entrance-way of the elevator as exclusive access to the 2nd floor. Thanks to the orientation of the building, we take advantage of natural lighting and invite abundant sunlight inside. The residents could enjoy the pleasant brightness without depending on any electric illumination.



The owner expected a layout that presented a high-grand and dignified look in the public area. Therefore, we built the TV background wall expanding from 3.1m to 6.8m and hid the switch box containing the electrical control panel or current system. Slim porcelain tile flooring reveals a serene vein associated with vertical mirrors and creates an illusion of spatial effect. Thanks to the clean and clever lines, the former narrow layout transforms into a widened vision. The overall sense of the home appears in a modern luxurious ambiance.



We expand the TV background wall along the dining area to bring up visual consistency and spaciousness. The curtain design unites the four different-sized windows in accord. With an equal balance in proportion to dimension, diverse area divisions are in an integrated statement.



Adjacent to the living room is a 13.2 square-meter space planned for a quest-friendly area. The natural light comes in through the three-sided windows, and the brightness reaches every inch of the living room. This mini welcoming room provides a unique, open space to share joy while gathering.
