The project is located on Yangyu Island (the "Yang Fish Island") of Taiji City in Xunyang City, Shaanxi Province. Taiji City consists of Yangyu Island (modern architecture) and Yinyu Island (traditional architecture), creating a harmonious rhythm where ancient and modern elements blend. The site comprises three parts: a Public Culture Service Center, a tourist hotel (Xunyang Wanda Jin Hua Hotel), and an Inclusive Residence and Wellness Service Center. The overall architectural layout follows the surrounding mountain terrain, forming a well-layered architectural cluster that integrates with nature. The design uses modern techniques to interpret traditional Taiji culture, extracting the concept of the "Taiji fish eye" and linear Taiji vocabulary. Through material innovation and modern elements, it presents a contrast between ancient and modern times, while also emphasizing the integration of architecture, roads, waterscape, and mountain views. Respecting the original topography, the building forms rise and fall in harmony with the environment, unifying architecture and landscape within the continuous mountain and water features. The design ensures a bird's-eye view from the Songjialing Observation Platform and a favorable facade effect from the opposite bank. In terms of layout, the Public Culture Service Center is located on the south side, best showcasing the city's image; the tourist hotel is placed in the middle, maximizing the riverscape to enjoy the beautiful Xun River; the Inclusive Residence and Wellness Service Center is arranged on the north side, facing south to offer an unobstructed view of the river.
