Longfor Central Jing Song Clubhouse, Foshan

Drawing inspiration from Foshan's rich cultural heritage, this project centres on the “white magnolia'”as its central motif. The aim is to create a prestigious international community that seamlessly blends Eastern ritual propriety with contemporary, understated luxury aesthetics. The design draws inspiration from both nature and the humanities: the unfurling petals of the white magnolia transform into fluid curves within the space, while its vigorous branches, reminiscent of the central stroke in calligraphy, outline the structure's vigour and rhythm. The ink traces of the Xiangxiang Calligraphy Collection and Foshan's seal-carving craftsmanship undergo abstract translation, manifesting as wall textures, artistic partitions, and subtle ornamentation. Within these limited spaces, cultural elements are expressed in a contemporary context.

The spatial layout is inspired by the “harmonious ritual order”, which is revealed through a progressive sequence where each step unveils a new vista. The homecoming lobby reinterprets the aesthetic of shadow walls and decorative screens, incorporating the curved elements of Tongji Bridge to create a tranquil entrance amidst urban bustle. The community reception area showcases the elegant allure of Foshan lantern craftsmanship and the refined art of calligraphy, offering a harmonious blend of material and spiritual aesthetics. The library is a welcoming space, with wooden textures and soft lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The design integrates the refined elegance of white magnolias, the spirit of calligraphy, and the warmth of traditional craftsmanship into contemporary architectural language and spatial composition through the continuous translation of “localised IP symbols.”This not only redefines the aesthetic experience of modern living but also breathes new life into cultural DNA within the space, creating a future-oriented ideal residence that harmoniously blends cultural depth with understated luxury.
