POLY TAN GIM is located in the political core area within the First Ring Road of Shijiazhuang. With "Jade Reflecting the East · Ritual Order of Noble Families" as its general design principle, it focuses on "local cultural translation and healthy low-density human settlements". Through dual-dimensional design in planning and architecture, it addresses the pain points of "rigid implantation of cultural symbols", "single function of low-density spaces" and "insufficient full-cycle adaptability of residences", exploring the integration of Yanzhao culture and modern living spaces.
I. Planning Design: Low-Density Collaborative Framework
With "spatial purity + efficient resource utilization" as the principle, a low-density planning system is constructed. It adopts low plot ratio control, with only 4 buildings arranged in a grid layout; the "one building, one unit type" design meets the needs of diverse families. At the same time, sufficient landscape space is reserved to achieve "building-landscape" complementarity. Six-tier homecoming ritual sequence is planned, with core nodes deeply connected to building entrances, forming an uninterrupted homecoming experience. Clear principles for landscape plant configuration are defined to avoid impacts on building structures; moreover, landscape scenes and building window openings form opposite scenery, maximizing the use of landscape resources.
II. Architectural Design: Integration of Cultural Context and Functions
Centered on "cultural context implementation + full-cycle optimization", culture and functions are integrated into the design. The facade proportion is extracted from the form of Hebei Museum, lines are refined from ancient jade gu (a type of ritual wine vessel), and the main color of the facade is created by combining the green glaze color of Jingxing Kiln—realizing the implementation of cultural symbols through sophisticated craftsmanship. To address the pain point of residential adaptability, the "X Variable Space" is designed: movable partition walls meet the functional changes of the family life cycle, and independent entrance gardens and corner windows are matched to optimize the space experience. Indoor health needs are integrated into architectural design, integrating a healthy water system, silent system, and fresh air system; the design of public areas balances aesthetics and traffic safety, achieving synergy between functions and quality.
