The project is situated in Qingyang District, Chengdu, a cultural core area imbued with profound historical and humanistic heritage and rich natural civilization, surrounded by prestigious schools and a superior ecological environment, providing unparalleled geographical advantages for landscape design. This design, centered on the core concept of “Tracing Chengdu, Reshaping Courtyard Life,” deeply explores the essence of Chengdu’s urban culture, particularly the courtyard wisdom derived from its millennial cultural lineage. Drawing from the vibrant daily life and relaxed ambiance of traditional courtyard living, it skillfully integrates the “dynamic spirit within the spatial framework” with the “relaxed atmosphere of scenes,” creating a Chengdu-style aesthetic living space that blends cultural depth with lifestyle charm through meticulously crafted everyday landscape scenes.
The design draws inspiration from the iconic Du Fu Thatched Cottage, a classical Chinese garden renowned nationwide, where the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu once sought refuge and composed numerous poems. Its layout, harmoniously nestled by mountains and water with a balanced interplay of open and enclosed spaces, serves as a key motif for reimagining modern waterfront living: integrating traditional ceremonial order and poetic dwelling into the waterfront environment to create an immersive homecoming experience that evokes timeless elegance while offering contemporary comfort.
The circulation design adheres to the principle of “people-oriented, safe, and orderly”. The main entrance features a dedicated pedestrian homecoming path, creating a ceremonial entryway imbued with a sense of ritual. Upon entering, bilateral corridors form a meandering circulation route, naturally guiding visitors to explore deeper while subtly shielding external noise, immersing them in a serene, verdant, and tranquil living atmosphere through a dynamic sequence of changing scenes.
