Ponce City Market (PCM) is a five-building, 3-million-square-foot community hub in Atlanta, Georgia. The former Sears, Roebuck & Co. warehouse, located in the dynamic Midtown submarket, was purchased and reimagined by Jamestown in 2011, and quickly became one of the city’s most beloved mixed-use landmarks. It features a dynamic blend of local and world-class food and retail offerings, Class A office space, a suite of residential and hospitality living options, and Atlanta’s first locally-sourced timber-office building, 619 Ponce.
With the recent completion of the timber building on PCM’s campus and a changing office-tenant market, Jamestown saw an opportunity to revisit the holistic story of the lively Ponce City Market campus. CBRE Calibre Creative Group was tapped to reshape that story and strategically reposition the campus in the market.
Our mission was to help transform Ponce City Market from a flashy, youthful tech hub into something more sophisticated that communicated the strengths that PCM offers to established companies. The tagline of our office proposition became “Work Where Life Happens,” and we needed a brochure that captured the buzzing energy of PCM. Our challenge was to revitalize and strengthen the property story by weaving in the mixed-use history and showcasing the one-of-a-kind workdays you can only find at Ponce City Market.
We started by working with Jamestown to refine the brand visuals in a way that honored Ponce City Market's historic roots while signaling its maturity. Moving away from the saturated, tech-centric colors of its early identity, we facilitated an evolution into a layered color palette and visual elements, including halftone effects and graphic motifs. We show prospective tenants the campus’ energy via photography of real people experiencing PCM. More than a facelift, our approach was to tell a visual coming-of-age story that respects the property's unique DNA and nods to its ever-evolving future.
From updated visuals to a refreshed storyline, with every turn of the page, the brochure feels as exciting as every corner of Ponce City Market.
