Taking the theme of "Silk Road weaving dreams, magnolia shining brightly" as the thread, we condense the Eastern elegance from the Jianghai culture in Nantong and Qidong, and implant the gentle flow of silk and the elegant charm of magnolia into the spatial narrative. By using the metaphor of "Jin Guang Mi Jing" to depict the light and shadow flow of the ancient Silk Road, and capturing the eternal poetry of magnolia blossoms with "Hua Yin Time", we aim to create an art gallery style experiential space that connects regional context, natural aesthetics, and future living ideals.
Material language: Inspired by the "softness, transparency, and light" of silk, the space is interwoven with matte metal, plain brocade soft decoration, and glass partitions. The curved lines on the walls are like water waves and folds, winding and undulating, like silk lightly brushed by the river wind, which is in line with the dynamic temperament of Qidong's "gateway to the river and sea".
Light and Shadow Narrative: Customized crystal chandeliers hang like silk cocoons, with light projecting through a silk screen into hazy and gradually changing light spots. The marble texture on the ground resembles the warp and weft of silk threads, and walking between them is like sparkling waves shuttling along the maritime silk road.
Artistic symbol: Yulan, as the city flower of Qidong, is deconstructed as a spiritual totem of space - plain white glazed petals embedded in copper branches, hanging above the sand table area; The wall relief depicts the full cycle of magnolia from bud to bloom with meticulous brushwork from the Song Dynasty, symbolizing the symbiotic growth of life and the city.
