In the 215 sqm newly built house in Taoyuan, the designer creates a peaceful residence for a couple and their two daughters, who are studying in high school and primary school respectively. In order to satisfy the preference of the owners for natural greenery and avoid wasting the advantage of 270-degree field of view, the designer minimizes the visual barrier through the open space layout design, so that the owners can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window.
As the owner's little daughter is very keen on playing on swings, the designer specially installs the swing in the play area, so that the little girl can play happily at home; with visual penetration design, the male owner can see the child's activities even working in the living room or tatami room.
In the design of sofa area, the designer also selects to face the entryway, and avoids too many walls and frames to obstruct the view, so that the owner sitting in the sofa area, will be able to have a panoramic view of the kitchen, piano area and other public areas.
The original layout of this space was an L-shaped space. In order to make the space without any scattered feeling, the designer skillfully uses the arc shape to connect and soften the entryway, so that the elegant arc curve like a river can be felt when entering the door, which also echoes the positive and dynamic life attitude of the family.
In terms of color and material planning, the designer uses the soft earth colors to make the space filled with a comfortable atmosphere. With the vivid yellow and blue colors, the space atmosphere is more vigorous. At the same time, the use of terrazzo, wood and other natural materials makes the house full of harmonious style.
