Light and Shadow Journey

This project is a new single-story residential plan. At the initial stage, we make good use of the design change opportunity to convert the original 2 + 1 rooms into 1 + 1 rooms that are more in line with the actual daily routines of the users and then selected healthy and eco-friendly materials such as SPC flooring and soft earthy colors to delicately portray a rustic, warm, neat and refined space character for an interior area of approximately 51 square meters.

For the entrance hall, we use a black wall-attached mirror sliding door to enlarge the view and decorate the meter box, while connecting and mediating the dining room and kitchen by a fine dining preparation counter, which is both functional and visually flowing. The partition and wall-mounted TV wall made of stucco is the core axis of the whole house. In addition to the smooth division of the public and private areas and the integration of the doors to extend the width of the house, all the lines and layers elongated through the functional capacity, partial ceiling or continuous surface modeling have the substantial meaning of extending the view angle and showing the design taste.

The master bedroom continues the gray scale and the warm wood system, with an extraordinarily simple and quiet texture and the subtle rhythm of time heals people’s hearts. The multi-functional room on the right side of the TV wall is connected to the living room with an elevated couch. The long axis of flowing vision not only absorbs abundant light into the room and creates a sense of extreme openness, but also uses soft white and warm wood colors to build a skin-friendly tone, creating a space for the couple to share alone and relaxed. The space is flexibly defined with hidden glass sliding doors in the actual work and under the countertop, a pull-out drawer is considerably added for storage.
