Fuyang Qingkun Center

“The most beautiful landscape from ancient times to the present is in Fuchun”. The landscape of Fuchun has been favored by literati since ancient times, because of the beautiful natural scenery and profound cultural heritage. This design is located in Yinhu, Fuyang, Hangzhou. Inspired by the scenery of Fuchun, we extracted the roof elements of traditional vernacular architecture in the regions south of the Yangtze river, and integrated the traditional materials of small green tiles and wood grating into the modern office building. The contrast between ancient and modern, new and old adds tension and interests to the building. In the creation of architectural space, the mountain view at behind the building penetrates into the street through the passage between the podium and the tower, the back and forth "mountain path" tour trail grows naturally with the tile roof, and this winding technique is used through the whole building——from the core wrapped by the grid to the path on the roof and the line aftertaste of the facade. The ultimate goal of the design is not the designer's self-admiration of the spatial interest, but to give users a pleasant place, the whole building will grow naturally in Fuyang, a poetic and romantic place, with an open attitude.
