The project is guided by the concept of “Elegant Luxury in Harmony with Artful Living,” integrating contemporary luxury, aesthetic expression, and diverse lifestyles into the residential experience. Drawing inspiration from Qujing’s regional culture, the design takes the city’s identity as the “City of Rhododendrons” as a local cultural cue and reinterprets Eastern aesthetics through a contemporary lens. It responds to modern families’ needs for interaction, companionship, and quality of life, while addressing internationally minded residents’ desire for art, culture, and social experiences, creating a living environment that balances elegance with ease.
The spatial design is organized through scenario-based narratives, integrating family life, art collection, and social activities into a continuous living experience. An integrated LDK+B layout and modular furnishings allow the space to transition flexibly between everyday living, family interaction, and social gatherings. The kitchen serves both baking and display functions, while the dining area accommodates everyday meals and entertaining. Reading, music, collecting, wine appreciation, and outdoor leisure are incorporated into the spatial sequence, transforming the sample apartment from a static display into an immersive expression of a complete lifestyle.
Materials and colors form the core artistic language of the interiors. Warm textiles, refined stone, antique bronze, jade, mother-of-pearl lacquer, and textured finishes are layered to create tactile and visual richness within a restrained architectural framework. The hardscape follows a subtractive approach, while artworks, furniture, and decorative elements enrich the space through an expressive soft-furnishing strategy. Soft lighting and a cohesive color palette balance the diverse materials, ensuring that the understated luxury remains warm rather than cold or distant. Spaces designed around different ages and lifestyles are connected through a coherent family experience.
Sustainability is considered through material selection and the long-term lifecycle of the space. Natural marble, solid wood, and environmentally compliant leather and textiles are prioritized, while durable materials such as metal, stone, and solid wood extend the lifespan of furniture and interiors, reducing replacement and renovation waste. Ultimately, the design establishes a dialogue between regional culture, art, contemporary luxury, and natural warmth, creating a residential environment that balances aesthetic value, functional flexibility, and human connection.
