The project is located by the Pearl River in Guangzhou, with the plot embedded in the intersection of the Pearl River's back channel and the Xindanyun, forming a rare landscape of being surrounded by water on three sides.
The design draws inspiration from the traditional layout of "Nine Dragons Entering the Sea" on Changzhou Island, featuring a setting of mountains behind and waters in front to gather wealth and energy. Through terrain shaping and water feature design, it achieves the integration of natural landscapes and residential experiences. Leveraging the expansive Pearl River scenery and naturally undulating terrain, it incorporates diverse activity nodes such as a children's playground, lawn gathering spaces, riverside platforms, and docks. These elements guide residents to stroll between forests and waterfronts, creating a seamless connection and fusion of "mountains—waterfront—residential areas," forming a continuous three-dimensional ecological promenade. The central landscape area is modeled after Huangpu's "Yuyan Academy," adopting its "multi-level courtyard, progressive layering" spatial layout. Using the sequence of "front hall—middle courtyard—back yard," it constructs a courtyard order, replicating the academy's spatial ambiance of "orderly propriety".
