Located in the Yangpu District waterfront of Shanghai, the project sits at the confluence of the eclectic aesthetic heritage of the historic "Shili Yangchang" and a contemporary artistic atmosphere. This context shapes the project’s inherent character, modern, innovative, and effortlessly relaxed.
At the entrance plaza, restrained rectangular paving patterns echo those on the canopy overhead, reinforcing spatial order and sequence. The building’s entry façade combines soft curved surfaces with straight metal decorative elements. The interplay between beige walls and metallic finishes creates visual tension, making the fusion of Shanghai’s eclectic style and modern art immediately palpable.
Moving into the rear courtyard, a rich landscape sequence unfolds through textured luxury stone, lush trees and greenery, and water features. Intersecting water platforms merge with the reflected light on the building’s glass surfaces.
In the sunken space, the reflecting pool seamlessly extends toward the building’s full-height glazing, blurring the line between indoors and out. Cool olive green tones transition gently into the warmth of surrounding foliage within structural gaps, while the rhythm of water features aligns with pedestrian flow, enhancing the spatial cadence. This offers users a tranquil, distinctive retreat with a strong sense of place.
A fully transparent glass corridor visually connects the building with the natural surroundings. Extending above the clubhouse pool, the cantilevered walkway frames views toward the central courtyard. Walking beneath it, one experiences unbounded nature and pervasive greenery. Dense tree canopies soften the imposing presence of the towers, while the projecting platform establishes a visual dialogue with the sunken garden, enriching the spatial layers.
