The ground floor is conceived as a communal lounge, an open social hub designed for lingering. At the entrance, a project IP installation establishes the site’s identity. Three circular plinths display floral arrangements, while the surrounding curved display counters echo the ceiling’s contours. Artistic light fixtures incorporate motifs drawn from the traditional Li brocade of Hainan. In the central core, low screens subdivide the space while preserving continuous sightlines, shaping semi-enclosed areas. Curved screens on either side enclose a round-table zone accented with floral arrangements. Four pairs of facing armchairs paired with round tables offer seating for pausing and conversation. Sixteen trapezoidal wooden tables can be joined to form a multi-functional long table—its silhouette recalling a wooden sailboat—accommodating study, work, and salon events, and responding to the demand for flexible, multi-use communal space.
On the second floor, the "Peninsula Dining Hall" combines the lively atmosphere of everyday dining with the ceremonial feel of a resort. The space continues the curved design language, with an arched screen extending from the first floor to the reception desk, creating a continuous visual guide. A mobile food cart on one side of the space displays cookware and tableware, while also serving as a flexible unit that can be converted into a sales point for specialty products in the future. Several wooden crates, inspired by goods temporarily piled up at a dock, add a market-like feel. Modular square tables are arranged to accommodate both casual meals and large gatherings. Seating along the floor-to-ceiling windows offers views of the lawn, beach, and sea, fostering social interaction.
The third floor, the "Seaview Area," is the project’s core. The water bar resembles undulating waves, with ammonite fossils symbolizing Hainan’s geological evolution. Curved booths balance privacy and flow, with marine-themed artworks and tortoise shell decor symbolizing longevity. The VIP room features curved sofas, natural stone tables, and soft lighting, offering a serene space for decision-making and private discussions.
