The design weaves together the profound spirit of Eastern aesthetics with the restrained clarity of modern living, shaping a poetic dwelling set between mountains and water. Nature is not treated as a backdrop but as an extension of home, where flowing rivers, rolling hills, breeze, and moonlight dissolve the boundaries between interior space and the surrounding landscape, allowing daily life to unfold with calm warmth and quiet freedom.
From the shared foyer descending into the basement, warm wood textures and greenery establish an immediate sense of welcome. Measured linear forms suggest an ordered yet relaxed lifestyle, while the double-height living area balances solidity and softness through fabric sofas, a round stone coffee table, and layered functional zones. A wine and cigar bar, audio-visual area, and fireplace create a leisurely atmosphere, where warmth and coolness coexist through the contrast of firelight and freely growing plants. Natural light filters deep into the space, visually linking the indoor courtyard with the outdoors and maintaining openness without a sense of enclosure.
The tea and bar area continues this dialogue with nature, using consistent wood tones and material continuity to foster a tranquil mood. As light and shadow shift throughout the day, surfaces become animated, enriching ordinary moments with subtle warmth. Moving through the space, the dining area and wine cellar echo the mountain landscape through form and reflection, while restrained details allow daily rituals to define the character of home.
On the main floor, functionality and poetic expression are seamlessly combined. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows frame changing views of mountains and water, turning the living room into a living canvas. Neutral furnishings—soft gray seating, deep wood accents, and contrasting stone surfaces—create a rhythmic balance reminiscent of piano keys.
Private spaces continue this gentle narrative. The master bedroom adopts a calm, minimalist palette with soft textures and ambient lighting, while the daughter’s room introduces light tones and playful motifs, nurturing warmth and creativity. Ultimately, the design transcends form and function, becoming a vessel for emotion, where light, material, and landscape support a life rooted in peace and belonging.
