CLOUD MANSION is planned with a focus on landscape experience and everyday living. The overall layout is organized around daily use within the community, with the entrance landscape and a large-scale swimming pool forming the key spatial anchors. Clean lines, level variations, and changing light conditions are used to structure different zones, creating a clear and layered spatial hierarchy. In response to Cangnan’s climate and regional characteristics, the project presents a more open residential environment.
The main entrance is located along the west side road and is designed with a hotel-inspired arrival sequence. Circulation for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians is carefully arranged to achieve clear separation. The pedestrian entrance is spacious, framed by layered stone and planting, making the route home more legible. The entrance lobby has a floor height of approximately 9.8 meters and is equipped with an intelligent access control system. With on-site staff providing reception and guidance, circulation in and out of the community becomes more clearly organized.
Upon entering the community, a series of layered water features and rock formations comes into view. Water, pavilion structures, and seasonal planting are interwoven in a restrained composition, while still retaining richness in detail. This sequence continues toward the pool area, where planting is arranged in progressive layers. Through guided sightlines and spatial enclosure, the design reinforces depth within the site and allows transitions between spaces to remain natural.
The infinity pool is located in front of Building 6 and is designed in response to the site’s level differences and connected corridor system. The area includes sunken seating, a bar zone, water feature walls, an adult pool, and a children’s pool. The total water area is approximately 1,800 square meters, with a depth of 1.3 meters for the adult pool and 0.5 meters for the children’s pool. During periods when the pool is not in operation, access can be controlled to allow the children’s pool to be used as an activity space, while the overall area functions as a visual water feature, supporting use across different seasons and times.
