Xi‘an Yuexiu · Gaoxin Puyue Sales Center

The Sales Center for China Railway Construction Yuexiu Gaoxin Puyue in Xi‘an is a narrative space that profoundly integrates the cultural context of the ancient capital with a modern resort aesthetic. Transcending traditional sales functions, the design aims to create an “Urban Cultural Living Room” that carries both historical memory and contemporary spirit.

The core innovation lies in the modern interpretation of Chang’an culture: geometric compositions abstracted from the Xi’an Bell Tower adorn the walls; the eaves with a 7.2° inclination pay homage to the roof slopes of Tang Dynasty architecture, defining a unique spatial profile; the circulation planning subtly follows the “scenery-changing-with-every-step” technique of Tang gardens, guiding an immersive journey through time and space.

Spatial functions are developed around high-end experiences. The open front hall redefines the ritual of reception. The negotiation area, conceived as a “city living room,” skillfully balances openness and privacy through semi-enclosed layouts. Dedicated VIP rooms, a tea room, and even a poker room together form a composite field catering to diverse social and leisure needs. In terms of materiality, crafted metal, natural wood veneers, luxury stone, and custom art lighting intertwine. Under delicate plays of light and shadow, they collectively shape a spatial quality that is serene, refined, and culturally rich.

Ultimately, through the contemporary translation of architectural vocabulary, artistic furnishings, and natural light, the design accomplishes a poetic dialogue between tradition and modernity. It not only presents visitors with a visionary blueprint for living but also stands as a cultural footnote for the ancient city of Xi‘an facing the future.
