This project is located at the core of the Tiandong Sector in Chengdu Tianfu New Area. As a key practice for the development of the area, it reconstructs the imagery of the "natural canyon" with the spirit of academic research, exploring an innovative paradigm for the sustainable coexistence of ecology and technology in high-density cities. Adhering to the concept of "entering the city yet transcending the mundane, hiding elegance within", it creates a super interface that combines urban identification and ecological resilience.
Spatial Sequence and Ecological Intervention: Building an Ecology - Urban Dialogue
At the entrance, the ecological cliff based on the texture of the original landform is juxtaposed with the 11-meter-high frameless ultra-white glass curtain wall, forming a nature - technology dialogue. The ecological cliff, as an extension of nature, provides habitats and biological corridors for the urban ecology; the curtain wall introduces natural light, reducing the energy consumption of artificial lighting and embodying the principle of energy conservation. Together, they create a super landscape interface, redefining the relationship between nature and the community, and achieving the harmonious coexistence of urban development and ecological protection.
The 3,000㎡ sunken space reconstructs the secret realm of the urban underground forest, connecting with the towers to form a complete ecosystem. The sunken clubhouse utilizes the topographic height difference, embedding the functional volume into the natural cliff, reducing damage to the terrain and protecting ecological integrity. Themed courtyards such as "Twilight Forest" and "Under - Rock Space", combined with local vegetation and rain gardens, create a microclimate system with rich biodiversity. The local vegetation reduces maintenance costs and the risk of invasive alien species; the rain gardens realize the recycling of water resources, reduce the heat island effect, and improve environmental comfort, providing ecological support for the sustainable development of the city.
