The Hill Mansion

Starting from the charm of Garden in the south of the Five Ridges, the lightness, transparency and simplicity of the garden are presented slowly through the change of space.
Through the gardening techniques of mountain building, stone stacking and water management, the moving lines of the garden with curved corridors are arranged. The waterfalls, stacked stones and water flowing around the court set off each other. The space level is rich, and the virtual and real, light and shade are scattered.
Limited to the floor height, the whole space is designed horizontally, and the space scale is extended by decentralizing asymmetric axis. Cement pouring stone and stainless steel wiredrawing ancient bronze table, black-and-white landscape stone standing in silence, and industrial style ancient bronze chandelier together constitute the breathing frame of the reception desk.
Based on the main structure of the building, the designer takes the columns in the area as furnishings, which is integrated with the sand table model area. The designer draws inspiration from the cosmological view of "taking sky and earth as the whole world". The exposed structure on the top of the model area has a distinct ground order. By using the space and geometry relationship, the original beam column structure and mirror stainless steel follow the trend in the air, inserted and occluded with each other. Space, shape, line, color, texture, light and shadow... all these dynamic and rational beauty, crisscross structure and lacquer rough texture of painting, together show the most primitive architectural expression. Each node is full of strength and tension. The movable screen partition door can adjust and reshape the space structure, making the space and material with the possibility of transparent and flexible.
The designer advocates that the interior design should start from the concept of architecture and landscape, base on the traditional Chinese culture, excavate the local cultural characteristics, absorb the beauty from the ancient hand-made fabric "Xiangyun Yarn" in the south of the Five Ridges, and extract the Chinese traditional color "Ochre" with unique Oriental and profound temperament from the mineral mud used for dyeing.
