YOSHI BAKERY

The brand is a bakery where the flavors of food and memories embellish the journey of taste. The owner, with a craftsman’s spirit, creates “bread worth looking forward to.” Thus, the designer integrated the concept of a “baking journey” into the interior design. Bricks and tiles, the vibrant hues reminiscent of the owner’s hometown Lukang, are interwoven with cultural symbols like ancient coins and butterfly wings. The design invites consumers to interact with the brand upon entering the shop, resonating with the original artisan spirit of “creating surprises and fun.”

A curved entrance made of bricks stands out strikingly in the concrete jungle. The dough rises, becoming soft to the touch, mirroring the designer’s reconfiguration of the space to make it both comfortable and durable. The floor, in a playful yet vintage terrazzo, and cabinets for storing ingredients exhibit a rustic wooden texture. The countertops are finished in black stone to evoke the tender delight of the bread. Walls and ceilings are covered with natural-textured cement paint. As the bread enters the oven and begins to expand, the use of glass and perforated patterned bricks in the space allows sunlight to enhance the aromatic sensation of baking.
