LAKESIDE OF WORLD

The project is located in the heart of Jiading New Town in Shanghai, and it serves as an artistic landscape garden at the entrance to a residential complex. Designed with the concept of "Modern Jiangnan," it strives to create a combination of urban and natural features, using contemporary techniques to recreate the lyrical aura of old Chinese literature. The entryway, which begins with a flowing water feature, emits a feeling of ceremonial; as one moves along the corridors, vistas of water and woods emerge from behind lattice screens. A large expanse of water in the middle courtyard reflects the interplay of tree shadows and floating clouds, adding to the scene's rustic beauty. River birches serve as the principal trees, with evergreen ground cover providing visual appeal even in the fall and winter months. Antique bronze statues of human beings stand amid the woods, adding to the artistic mood. The tree basins are adorned with metal inscriptions depicting ancient poetry passages, which add to the Jiangnan-inspired mood. As one passes through the hallways, sculptures beneath skylights and the main water feature interact, kindling the space's creative character.
