Ethereal Habitat

Ethereal Habitat, located in the coastal city of Qingdao, is a private club for the social elite. Considering the geographical and humanistic elements and the target group's needs, its interior design selects the trendy Wabi-sabi style as an innovative attempt to explore the unique oriental beauty with a modern Chinese style. The club also highlights the importance of a private and equal atmosphere, thus providing a platform for friendly and tranquil communication, allowing an ideal place concerning communication and resources exchange for elites from all sectors.
The project chose several natural materials as its principal building substances for a smooth and calm spacial tone expressed by the native vein texture and warm marble texture. Without natural light, its yellow and blue color scheme endows the space with a profound and mysterious temperament. In addition, warm yellow and calm blue can ease the mood of consumers for better negotiation. It also offers an immersive experience like diving in the deep sea and flying in the sky due to its soft curves throughout the space resembling cloud and wave patterns, decorated by elements such as jellyfish, rocks, and cranes. This design inspires consumers to associate themselves with the sea, sky, and beach for an authentic experience traveling to the seaside city.
The project's highlight is the concave and convex mirrors on the ceiling surface, which contribute to dappled light and shadow with indoor lighting. And as people inside move, the room's light changes for a different visual expression, representing an exquisite expression of indoor light and shadow for a dreamy haze. This captivating design can bring consumers an immersive experience with a transformative experience of skies and deep ocean.
