Contemporary Wabi-Sabi House

This is for a single man that treats Taipei as his second hub for his career. The public area is an office and reception space and uses black and red for fundamental visuals while mixing in different materials to reflect its lively owner. The linear design also enhances depth and height. The private area uses a dark-blue and the proportion of the grained area is increased to create warmth and realize the sleeping area’s purpose. The change in styles highlights the functional differences to have a remote office and live a quality life at home, creating a residence without location stereotypes to work and rest without time zone restrictions.
