Dacheng Chronicle·Dainties Resort

As one of the cradles of civilization, Xi'an, where the Silk Road begins, has been an important hub to Chinese culture. This project is located in the Datang Everbright City, a phenomenal cultural sight. The building itself is infused with the spirit of the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, and has cooperated modern technology into the design to build a surreal space where the street houses various eras and aesthetics, creating a time-traveling experience.

Upon entering the Dragon Pavillion, the aesthetics is rooted in Chinese culture, in which the divine dragons soar into the sky in the heavens. The visual is highly recognizable, and the design is memorable. LED lights are extended to the artium, and the linear lighting flows in the space. Red lanterns and wood beams and columns set up a sense of traditional tea house in the food court. Thes area is just like a slice of the past, and everything is as it was in the ancient city hundreds of years ago. On the other side, black reflective panels are applied at the Samurai Pavilion, and the reflection of the linear Led lighting on the vintage samurai armors exhibit a story of history and technology development reaching a balance and coexisting in harmony.

Next to the dining area, the spiral staircase presents the beauty of curves and connects different levels, as if clothes are dancing in the air. Moving along the stairs to the Stage, the designer transplants the traditional architectural form of hip roof inside. With the precise woodwork and the hardware, the structure establishes the flavor of the era. Cage-like lights are hung in the trees, telling tales from the city’s past and present. The journey continues. With the artwork” Gazing of a thousand years” marking the holiness and solemnity in this Buddhist literature-themed area. The outdoor area carries on with the design elements with rippled stone flooring, bizzare stones and the pines and cypresses, and the seating is like boating floating on a serene sea.
