The original type of department in this project has many unreasonable places. For example, after entering the apartment, we can immediately see the dining room. There is no area for shoe changing. The dining room has limited space and the daylighting is weak. The space of the kitchen and bathroom is very narrow and small and the door of the master bedroom faces the main bathroom. Therefore, in the design, starting from breaking the traditional layout form, the dining room is connected with the kitchen, and the balcony is connected with the living room to improve the sense of space. The wall of the original study room is pushed inside and leveled and the area for shoe changing is added. The study room is changed into a cloakroom and the traditional wooden door is replaced with the glass sliding door to bring light to the dining room. The position of the door of the master bedroom is changed to eliminate the disadvantage of facing the master bathroom so that the aisle between the dining room and the kitchen is more comfortable.

After breaking away from the constraints of limited style and original space, and considering the living conditions and living habits of the owner, the whole space is re-planned to maximize comfort and reasonably express art aesthetics, planning of moving lines, and functionality of living space. A balance is achieved between artistic beauty and function and the warmth of life is given to it.

When we talk about minimalist space, it is always labeled with a sense of emptiness, coldness, and restraint. To break away from the stereotyped image, the designer starts from the details; uses black, white, and gray as the main colors; mixes rough cement lines, the texture of metal with a sense of future, and different colors; and adds the playful style full of conflicts, breaks the depressing dark space, breaks away from the stereotyped image, and declares the uninhibited style of the owner.
