In the three-story single-family house, the vertical dimension is integrated with the first floor as an office area and the second and third floors as private residence, thus satisfying both needs of working and living for houseowners in the fashion industry. The soft beige and earthy colors are the main axis. The gentle colors along with the bright daylight create a comfortable and stress-free living scene.
The exterior of the first floor is covered with light beige color and a soft white light band, exuding a minimalist and low-key luxury texture. A light-transmitting reeded glass not only brings in outdoor light but also provides privacy.
The second and third floors are living areas. In order to provide a clear space boundary for the couple, the second floor serves the functions of a public sphere and kitchen, while the third floor is a private sphere. The vertical planning of each individual floor allows the couple with different schedules live in harmony without disturbing each other.
On the second floor, curved dimensions are adopted on the TV wall and canopy to create a streamlined form and inject a sense of gentle rhythm. The depth of the main wall provides storage and wiring functions, and the mellow volume adds layers. The center of gravity of the main wall is stabilized by a horizontal extension of wooden grating below.
On the other side is the dining and kitchen area, where bumpy subway tiles replace the smooth lacquered surface. The tiles in the same color in company with neat gaps create a delicate texture. The kitchen utensils make turns along the wall, adding more functionalities to meal preparation. On the third floor, the master bedroom continues the tone of the public area. Instead of expressing in complicated design, simple moldings depict a generous, minimalist living scene.
