FUTURE MANSION

This project locates at the core commercial area of Baijiahu, Jiangning District, Nanjing City. Here, the emperors' spirit in Jinling (Nanjing's old name), which can be dated back to thousands of years ago, sparkles with the modern "Nanjing fad". We hope to leverage the art in a static form to create the core IP image of the city, with impressive points to be memorized and strong visual impact. It will be a bond of time and emotion, connecting the ancient Jinling and the modern Nanjing, and makes it possible for the past and the present coexist in the same space.
After stepping into the indoor area, the focus will be on the front desk. The metal tabletop is designed with water ripple effect, which looks like the water of Qinghuai River. A bright moon is there, on the art chandelier inspired by the gaily-painted pleasure-boat on Qinhuai River. The refraction and reflection on the mirror surfaces form a splendid and magnificent view, which reminds people the past prosperity of this city.
At the sand table area, the space is designed in a serious and orderly manner, giving a sense of solemnity. But the chandelier is arranged delicately to highlight the profound connotation embodied in the magnificence.
The Waiting Area is designed under the theme of "Harmony". It not only refers to the harmony of the past and the present, but also the co-existence of the modern "forest of rebar" in cities and the primitive nature. The bar area is a theatre for both daytime and nighttime, where people can access the service experience like in a hotel.
Setting the window design of luxury brands as the benchmark, we hope to build this place into a window displaying the brand concepts and the local culture. By using the montage technique on the images of horses and the moon, which are considered as local cultural symbols, the brand core concepts are perfectly integrated with the city culture. In this way, people get to perceive the past and the new life of the city from a more modern and future-oriented perspective.
