Upper- and Lower-Stack Show-flat Design Statement

The project takes “Hidden in the Western Hills, the Heart Returns to Fuchun” as its design theme, blending contemporary aesthetics with the spiritual homecoming of Eastern imagery. The concept is threaded by a dialogue between “cloud and mountain”: the upper stack is the realm of “Cloudscape,” where restrained beige and golden-brown tones build a light, lucid atmosphere. Interwoven light and shadow create a sense of poetry and fluidity, suggesting a life above the clouds—relaxed and graceful.

The lower stack is the realm of “Mountain Dwelling,” grounded in timber and warm grey. Softened lines lend the space quiet strength, forging a serene, embracing sanctuary. Through progressive layers of color, material, and light, the journey shifts from “gazing at clouds” to “entering the mountain,” offering a contemporary expression of an urban hermitage.
