The Ideal City Yunqi OF Jinan

The project is located in Licheng District, Jinan. Adjacent to the 112 acre Central Forest Park, the landscape greenbelt along the Hancang River and the Urban Cultural Exhibition Hall at the former site of the Jigang Blast Furnace on the west side, it enjoys superior landscape resources. The site is lower in the west and higher in the east. According to the terrain, a low-rise living hall, stacked villas and garden houses are arranged successively from west to east in the design. In the overall planning, through the horizontal composition method in Song Dynasty paintings, the side along the Hancang River and the Jigang Forest Park is fully opened up, reserving a display space of nearly 100 meters, which is like a landscape scroll with a horizontal composition.
The facade of the garden houses adopts the classic three-section proportion, with off-white color matched with champagne gold lines and large areas of glass, emphasizing the horizontal architectural proportion. The detailed treatment of the sloped facade and the corner glass weakens the sense of boundary of the building, endowing it with a stronger modern feel and greater value.
The stacked villas adopt the Song-style. The curves of the eaves and the slender components on the facade all contribute to the unique expression of the building. The inspiration for the horizontal lines of the building comes from the waves of the lakes and springs and the momentum of the clouds in Jinan, while the vertical lines are inspired by the classic elements of Song-style architecture such as the eave support rods and continuous handrails, leaving the imprints of nature and civilization on the aesthetics of the building.
The demonstration area features a hyperbolic roof, creating a fluid plane. In the middle of the eaves is a 360° viewing space, which is like a flowing cloud growing out of the mountains, waters and pine forests, clean and lively. In the circulation design of the demonstration area, taking the architecture and landscape as the carriers, we present the two-dimensional artistic conception in Song Dynasty paintings in a three-dimensional way.
