With lighting, ventilation, and functionality as priorities, the house with a rough finish is turned into a well-designed home with clear traffic flows to meet the homeowner's daily needs. Lower chroma results in more subtle, dull colors. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the abode features warm hand-applied paint, gentle solid wood joints, and airy and serene white color. The combination of modern and retro styles brings out the humanist side of interior design, adding a unique charm to daily life.
Upon opening the door, the light-flooded space offers an unobstructed view. Along with coating in shades of gray, vintage floral tiles create internal and external boundaries that unwind the mind when walking into the abode every day. The porch in natural wood tones instantly warms up the entrance visually. A carefully designed angled door frame with an angle cut out softens the rigidness of right angles and also symbolizes the transition of the scenes.
The wood flooring leads the way to the public area. In the living room, different shades of gray extend to the main wall. A wood grille breaks up the continuity and adds rhythmic layers to the monotonous view. The TV wall coating is simple yet aesthetic. To avoid boredom arising out of repetitive patterns, asymmetrical, irregular smudges create simple, yet delicate veins. The rectangle frame features symmetrical cut-out corners on the bottom, while the rattan TV cabinet with soft curves can smooth out the sharp corners. Simple and neat lines and gentle curves embrace the captivating beauty of contrasts.
The half-height wall behind the sofa is layered with veneers in light and dark shades. Above the half-height wall, a solid wood bifold window defines the study room. When open, it forms a dynamic human-centered frame; when closed, it offers privacy to those inside the room. The double doors of the study room achieve that cozy cafe vibe and evoke a sense of ritual.
