Longfor·Origin Life Museum

The project is located at the foot of Qiu Yu Mountain in Pukou District, Nanjing City, south of North Garden Road and west of Yu Shan Road, with a winding tributary of the Chengnan River flowing to the east. The design language of the project is based on the art of paper folding, exploring space, function, form, and materials. By emphasizing the relationship between virtual and real space and the fluidity of space, the design conveys the power of folding and transforming space, creating a light and lively atmosphere. The design technique of integral paper folding creates a uniform and continuous visual perception, emphasizing the depiction of horizontal lines to create a tranquil and expansive ambiance. The plan is shaped like a folded paper airplane, standing elegantly between solid walls and incorporating transparent and lightweight glass blocks to form a contrast of large voids and solid walls, showcasing the delicate beauty of contemporary architecture. The high-transparency glass with natural scenery that permeates the atrium concentrates the human gaze and evokes people's basic affinity with water and nature, dissolving the traditional barrier and weakening the relationship between architecture and nature. Nature is no longer just a backdrop but also an integral part of the building. With a contemporary minimalist approach, the design seamlessly blends architecture and landscape. The calm and tranquil water courtyard within the building echoes the main structure, providing a sense of detachment from the hustle and bustle of the city.
