Interpretation of Light

Situated in Xindian, New Taipei City, Urban Serenity, a condo of three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and two baths, features a design that combines sufficient storage with simple lines and shapes. Its striking modernist style perfectly presents visual countenance and functionality in the space, integrating daily needs and aesthetic taste in the living environment.
The interior is characterized by a gray wood-tone, which, paired with white walls and ceilings, constructs a sense of space full of contrasts. At the entrance is a section that includes the living room and the dining room, with an open-concept floor plan for the common area. On the dark-gray main wall in the living room is horizontal shelving randomly placed and adorned with brown leather squares. Together with artworks displayed on the shelves, a well-designed, visually-appealing home is shaped in perfect proportion. The TV wall on the other side features Ariston marble that goes with an inverted-L suspended TV cabinet to allow the light, transparent horizontal lines to enhance spatial coherence.
Adjacent to the living room is the dining room, which carries on with the modernist style and a color palette of gray, brown and white. A collage of dark-gray engineered stone on the main dining room wall creates a natural touch. The seam in the middle of the wall extends to the mirrored ceiling, and cleverly installed inside the seam is a light belt, thereby shaping a far-reaching artistic conception of light revealing from a fissure. Besides, a playful touch is added to the calming wood veins and stone texture through the blend of the mirror and polished metal, whose reflectivity allows for infinite visual extension and vastness in the space. A sense of everlasting serenity comes about as a result of this.
In the privacy of the bedrooms, different shades of gray are again applied to link with wooden materials.
