Realm of Square and Rounding

Vertical and horizontal linear segments decorate the wall by drawing boundaries between the grays and whites, and between the plain and elaborate textures. The light gently spills out from the gaps between the blocks, creating a sense of a futuristic corridor traveling at light-speed. This space provides for an elegant lifestyle by incorporating the past into the future to spark old memories and drive new ones.

This high-rise residence has a large area of over 70 square meters. Various design techniques, such as proportion division, material collage, and atmosphere creation, create visual effects and warm layers in the interior environment.

At the entrance, the warm color tones introduce a welcoming transition into the space. On the left side, a concave-convex texture on the cement slate board hides the top show cabinet from eyesight. The arc-shaped corners invoke a natural energy at the entrance.

An elevated wall made with wood and reflective gray material stands between the foyer and the public space. The reflection of the round corner of the foyer echoes the rounded end of the dining area and the ceiling of the living room. The weakened right angles draw a soft image of a contemporary home.

A linear approach towards the open public area creates an illusion of the extension of space. In the living room and main corridor, the series of linear light strips form a directional spatial field. Through the clear-cut architectural elements, a sense of consistency in the interior atmosphere is produced by the linear design along with the wooden grille interspersed on the marble surface of the walls and ceilings.

Further elaborating on the unique attributes of this design, the aluminum glass doors with a rectangular shape are complements with the abstract patterns on the carpets, sofas, tables, chairs, and other soft furnishings. This pairing strengthens the composition of the overall appearance and shapes a space narrative.
