Black Sesame and Blueberry Muffin

This project is a renovation of an aged single-story house with an interior area of about 98 square meters.
In view of the fact that the original layout did not meet the client's needs, the initial planning started with the restructuring of the layout, how to improve and achieve a reasonable and harmonious floor plan distribution while maintaining the family's function, and at the same time taking into consideration the needs and future layout, as well as satisfying the client's desire for a sense of space, interactivity and high quality. The design of this project introduces rich material texture and moderate transition to a spacious tone, which breeds the constant quietness and tolerance of the space.

The entrance hallway is lined with hand-painted wall plaster and combined with mirror mapping to magnify the effect, which clearly defines the recessed presentation of the vertical and deep transitional area. The TV wall is also hand-painted with a unique pattern of special lacquer, and the cabinets are decorated with milk-tea color, and the walls and furniture are decorated with blue jumping colors, just like an afternoon scenario of black sesame and blueberry muffin with warm tea fragrance.

The rear of the sofa is re-designated as a studio, and a glass partition is introduced to supplement the lighting and widen the sense of vision. At the same time, the integration technique of continuous surface leads to the center island counter, together with the opening kitchen and different material settings, making the area unique and independent, and greatly enhancing the overall harmony and interaction. The master bedroom has a dressing room to meet the needs, and the bathroom uses art cement to continue the grey texture, with a children's room reserved for flexible changes, to show the function in a peaceful environment, and to realize the original intention of leisurely dialogue between the space and the users.
