The Art of Stillness

Nowadays, individuals living in big cities always desire a space to relax and calm their bodies and souls. This is an interior project for a residence with a total living space of about 82 square meters. The designer has considered the owner's intensity in a stressful working environment, so he thoughtfully created a calm and relaxing environment tone. The owner could fully relax and enjoy a happy lifestyle with the spacious spatial pattern, smooth lines, and great functionality. The dark gray color is planned as the primary color scheme, creating a stable and powerful living atmosphere. A multi-directional multi-functional cabinet is purposely created at the entrance, using different materials to arrange, cut, and stagger to subvert the general impression of an entryway storage cabinet and become the first eye-catcher after entering. It is a platform for storing shoes and clothes and a place to store keys and eliminate feng shui concerns. It comes with multiple functions and flexibility. The open design of the living and dining rooms allows light to flow freely through the space, creating a spacious and bright feeling. The TV wall in the living room is made of thin imported tiles with a dark gray stone texture as the main spatial focus, with black iron display panels and low-color wood grain cabinets, bringing out a delicate and light texture and echoing the homeowner's taste and aesthetics. On the other hand, the gray camel-colored sofa is placed next to the maroon and purple wood grain back wall, providing a place where residents can sit and feel the passage of time and the change of light and shadow. Along the ceiling light strip towards the dining room, a black stone panel is used to cover the wall of the cooking table, reverberating the TV wall in the living room. In addition, the dining room's color scheme is mainly in earthy colors, and the black and gold chandeliers create a warm and elegant dining atmosphere while eliminating the cold and hard feeling of the space.
