The club house Kuznetsky Most 12 by Lalique encompasses the restoration of the historical building at that address, constructed in 1877 in central Moscow within walking distance of Red Square. The low-rise building is a relic of the Russian capital's 19th-century architectural fabric. Kuznetsky Most 12 by Lalique is a vivid example of how history can be respectfully preserved amid the implementation of new ideas and uses.
The company KR Properties is meticulously recreating this historical building on Kuznetsky Most Street, returning its original look and purpose as the area‘s dominant structure, and giving it a new life with interiors and other premises that emphasize its versatility.
KR Properties is conducting a comprehensive restoration of the building. The project includes precise restoration of the historic façades on Pushechnaya Street and Kuznetsky Most Street, preserving all the structural elements and decor.
During the preparations for the restoration work, the historical documentation, including for the original 1873 project, were thoroughly studied. "It was precisely this conception that we decided to focus on. We are paying tribute to the building's original architects, A.S. Kaminsky and A.I. Rezanov," says KR Properties general director Sergei Matyukhin.
The historic façade on Pushechnaya Street has already been completely restored. The restoration of the façade on Kuznetsky Most Street is still being conducted. The restoration project will also include a revival of the building's interior architecture: dismantling mezzanines and superstructures that appeared during the Soviet period, enabling the historical atrium and its stucco moulding to be displayed in their full beauty.
The central walkway on the first floor is also being restored, as the interiors of the commercial galleries on the first two floors are to be again opened to the public. The upper floors are designated for 61 private apartments. Kuznetsky Most 12 by Lalique is a project of leading Moscow developer KR Properties in collaboration with the world renowned brand Lalique. Lalique's crystal creations will beautify the entranceways, lifts, staircases, the galleries of the residential floors, and the bathrooms in the apartments.
