The Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Center Project is the first large-scale TOD project of POWERCHINA in Huadu, Guangzhou, which is also the new gateway of POWERCHINA in the southern region. The project is located at the core of the central axis of Huadu District, in the transportation hub area where three subway lines meet. The total planned construction area is about 278,000 square meters. After completion, it will become an urban mixed-use development with transportation, ecology, intelligence, culture, public services, and industry cluster.
The overall architectural design of the project by AG design team is based on the high efficiency of the transit-oriented project and draws design inspiration from Guangzhou Pearl River. Inspired by the river, the meandering water, soft lines, and the floating island are translated into the design language that correspond with the concept of "Pearl River precious jade." At the same time, the design takes "multi-dimensional cluster + dancing with nature + community integration" as the core ideas, and adopts the planning structure of "one axis, three groups, and three cores" to create a diverse and dynamic ecological space, and to build a highly open, highly compound mixed-used TOD project with strong spatial nodes and connections.
