Adamant Mérida

Adamant Mérida is a multi-family housing complex located at north of the city of Mérida on the Yucatan Peninsula. As part of the new Cabo Norte urban development, Adamant is in the meeting of the largest lake and the smaller lake, a site where naturally stands as a landmark of urban composition.

Adamant develops under the most careful standards of sustainability, respect, understanding and enjoyment of the natural conditions surrounding it. The morphology of the building naturally responds to its context, a careful design exercise that allows to mediate the different views of the apartments on both sides always trying to get the most out of the visual horizons through the development of a double cradle of buildings that shelter in its joints the circulations expressing to the maximum the space of the habitable areas. The powerful geometry raises vertically forming an imposing structural silhouette of concrete, steel and glass where the facade is not ornament but much more than that: it forms a structural system that unfolds on balconies and parasols to take care of the heating and environmental conditions of the complex.

It has different types of apartments sharing services, common areas, outdoor amenities and the pool for the enjoyment of the residents of the complex. The exposed parking lot becomes a platform for outdoor amenities such as an infinity pool that glazes visually to the lake endless lake multiplying the perception of its scale and terraces that allow a sublime experience. The interior amenities are located on the top floors of the towers to maximize the view to the horizon and give another sense to the daily practice of exercise or greater relaxation.
