Coming home, leaving the hustle and bustle behind, a quiet space for mind calming after a busy day is what’s desired as a city person. In this project, the important design goal is the stability of the space and a sense of calmness. The designer extracted the elements of nature that the clients love most, and applied textured stone to present a canyon-like appearance in the space. The designer arranged the texture of materials from strong color to light in order to create a sense of layers like the natural environment. By the change of stone, the atmosphere of the space is like nature, and it also heals the client's fatigue of the day.
For most people, they want a brightly lit home, but for this busy techie client, poor nature lighting became the advantage of this space. The small amount of light in the space created the serenity the client desired. The low color palette enhanced the quiet atmosphere, and the gray color scheme preserved the space's innate character. The designer used naturally textured stone to reflect light, giving the interior a warm and soft feel at all times of the day. The clean and elegant lines presented a clean and comfortable atmosphere.
The designer focused on creating a sense of life in the details, allowing a variety of natural textures into the home. With earth tone furniture, the use of natural elements in this space perfectly interpreted a calm and quiet appearance.
In order not to fill the space with bored, the walls of the living room and the corridor were hand-painted with nice patterns to add visual interest. The use of different shades of gray and stone with different textures, together with design furniture and lighting, realized a space with a canyon style but full of design aesthetics in the details.
