Jhou’s House

Inspired by Taiwanese traditional houses, the design team seeks out building materials from the 1950s and 1960s, using the two main themes of "retro" and "memory" to inject modern craftsmanship and innovative design to transform vintage building materials. In particular, the design team has recreated the atmosphere of an old-time family through the interplay of different materials and details on the cabinet. In this project, the design team finds the feeling of home in the timeline of retro and modern. "We'll be together for the rest of our lives" is what two people in love agree on in life. The two clients want to spend the rest of their lives together with each other. A quiet and comfortable place where the fragrance of wood and the tatami brings out the taste of nostalgia. The begonia glass is blurred with harmonious light and shadow, and in time, only the grain of oak remains clear, and only the round window still remembers the beautiful proposal of that night. In this project, the arrangement of old furniture brings back fond memories to daily life. The modern design balances the abruptness of time with calmness and gentleness.
