Using the contemporary design language, the designer integrates the century-old story and inclusive culture of Shanghai with the exquisite regional cultural elements, to convey the city's cultural charms, and create a sojourn place with a culture of truly unique regional characteristics.

The hotel, a renovation project, keeps the original building frame structure in the space. Through the reorganization, extension and detail design of the interior space, the designer makes the functions of the interior space more reasonable and diversified, to enhance the spatial value. Adhering to the environment friendly, sustainable design concept, the designer manages to bring in the original building decorations for reuse in the selection of materials. The space also shows a mixed style by extracting the colors and morphological elements from the original artworks, which preserves the historical remains and reduces the waste of resources.
