With a unique style and a great warmth, the project is designed to provide quality, pleasant life for every elderly person.
Inspired by the cycle of four seasons, the design team uses space to provide pleasant life for the elderly at different time of a day.
The aroma and beauty of plum blossoms always show its best presence in winter. Inspired by its elegant temperament, the team takes the spirit as the narrative subject of the space and uses its simplified, abstract form.
The plum blossom rises from the floor of the restaurant where its five extended petals cover the entire ceiling. With the combination of glass and white art paint creating thick and soft texture, the elegant, natural texture of the petals can be presented clearly .
Large French windows makes the space bright and transparent, making the life for the elderly easy and leisurely.
The private room ensures the privacy of dining. The room uses decorative murals depicting Nanjing’s mountain scenery, and selects wooden round table representing the meaning of "home" and "reunion" in Oriental culture. In such environment, people can experience the unique elegance of Nanjing life.
Elevator hall presents simpleness and elegance by choosing calm gray and wood colors. Besides, considering the needs of the elderly, a bench with soft cushions is set up in elevator hall so as to provide a nice resting area.
