The project is located in Licheng District, Jinan, Shandong Province. It’ll function as the experience center of the residential development “Magnificent Residence” at the early stage and as the residential community’s ancillary building at the later stage. The architectural form features a simple and lively design style. The open and elegant appearance and structure produce a lightweight and quiet effect. Linked structures, coupled with grilles and stones, make the building more delicate and enrich it with a sense of layering. Glass is organized on the ground floor back and forth, which functionally separates the entrance from the glass facade and also produces a rhythmic light and shadow effect under natural daylight. Simplistic lines are adopted to create an open interior space. The large-area transparent glass curtain wall subtly introduces surrounding natural sceneries and landscapes into architectural space. Outdoor courtyards are separated from each other yet visually connected, hence extending the flowing space in the outside. The outside and the interior are partially divided by striped glazed glass, which not only maintains a line of sight between the separate areas, but also distinguishes the two distinct spatial attributes. Moreover, while providing people in the interior an open view to the outside, the stripped glass also brings a hazy visual effect, thereby achieving a perfect balance.
