In this project, we centered on the concept of "Pu,"stripping away the intricate forms of traditional French style and capturing the inner sense of order and proportional beauty with contemporary methods. From the start of the structural renovation, we simultaneously considered the visual connection and the path of light and shadow between the interior and exterior, allowing the building’s contours and interior interfaces to transition naturally. In the double-height living room, the simplified wall moldings, reshaped proportions of the Roman columns, and the upward-extending coffered dome are not only expressions of aesthetics but also a language of spatial ritual that emotionally resonates with the external landscape.
Throughout the three-story space, we uphold a 'philosophy of balance': the open public areas encourage family interaction, while the reserved private spaces offer tranquility and solitude. The application of materials, light and shadow, and color tones all serve to settle the body and mind, creating a living experience that is both coherent and layered. The outdoor swimming pool and lounge area function as spaces of joy, creating multiple enchanting atmospheres. The front and rear manor-style courtyards are ideal spaces to welcome the owner’s triumphant return home and to relax the mind and body.
Ultimately, this villa transcends formal luxury and becomes a home truly 'grown' from the land—it carries our shared philosophy from the construction phase onward, leaving no barriers between the building, interior, exterior, courtyards, and daily life. This embodies precisely what P.W. Pu Design insists upon: 'luxury and elegance in the heart.' True luxury lies in consistency between inside and out, and a life lived with ease and authenticity.
