This project represents one of the most ambitious and defining interior designs I have realized in Los Angeles. Conceived as a completely new interpretation of a butchery, the space challenges long-standing perceptions of what this typology can be. At the time of its creation, no comparable reference existed within the city, making the process both complex and deeply creative.
Rather than relying on conventional visual language, the design reimagines the butchery as a curated spatial experience—where architecture, materiality, and precision coexist in balance. The interior is grounded by rich marble flooring that establishes a strong and confident foundation. Warm wood surfaces introduce a sense of refinement and approachability, while custom brass accents add a layer of craftsmanship and detail. Architectural lighting was carefully integrated to shape rhythm, guide movement, and highlight both form and function throughout the space.
Every element of the interior was intentionally composed. Lines, proportions, and transitions were treated with the same level of discipline as the products displayed, reinforcing a sense of respect for craft and quality. The result is an environment that feels deliberate, immersive, and emotionally engaging.
Beyond its visual impact, the project redefines the role of a butchery within an urban context. Rather than functioning purely as a retail environment, it establishes a new standard for how such a space can be experienced refined, confident, and contemporary. The design transforms a highly technical program into a bold architectural statement, creating a memorable destination that resonates with visitors.
By elevating function through thoughtful design, the project positions itself as a one-of-a-kind concept within the Los Angeles design landscape, leaving a lasting emotional impression and offering a fresh perspective on an overlooked architectural typology.
